RESEARCH METHODOLOGY WRITING HELP

For a PhD thesis, scholars can use various methodologies, depending upon the nature of study that they undertake. Essentially, there are two types of methodologies that are used by researchers:

TOPIC-SUGGESTIONS
Qualitative Methods

This one is apt for students who are pursuing humanities, since this method involves collection of information through observation, case studies and interviewing. Data collected is mostly in descriptive form, which has to be converted into a measurable form by using some commonly accepted scales.

Quantitative Methods

This is the method preferred by management students and those pursuing science subjects. Here, data collection is done through surveys or random sampling and data is in numeric form. Hence, the measurement and analysis of data is easier and clear cut results can be reached.

The former differs from the latter in the sense that it also seeks the ‘why’ and ‘how’ elements of issues that are being studied. In a quantitative study, students concentrate on ‘what’, ‘where’ and ‘when’. Experiments are common in this approach, while ethnography is a popular practice under qualitative method.

It may also be possible that you have to combine both the methods to come up with an ideal research design for your project. Choosing a suitable method or creating a mix of both methods will be immensely easy if you take help from our consultants. Also, you will be sure of the decision that you are taking and the process that you follow, since it will be supported by well-founded logical reasoning.
